This course introduces the basic concepts and theories of corporate finance that underlie the techniques for helping students understand, assess solve financial problems in a business.
On successful completion of this course,
- Students should be able to measure risk and reward and explain the trade-off between risk and reward.
- Students should be able to estimate cash flow from a project including operating, net working capital and capital spending, etc.
- Students should know the primary uses of capital and how costs affect investment decisions
- Students should be able to calculate the value of various financial assets.
